About Us

WWEST

World Wide Electrical Safety Technology Pty Ltd (WWEST) distributes products and  solutions for the improvement of electrical safety beyond accepted standards. The Residual Voltage Technology (RVT) is revolutionary and provides enhanced detection and isolation of electrical faults where electrical safety can otherwise be compromised, reducing the risk of harm to personnel and equipment.

Residual Voltage Technology significantly enhances electrical protection within all earthing environments – TN (Terra Neutral including MEN-Multiple Earth Neutral), TT (Terra Terra) and IT (Isolated Terra-Unearthed), using the simple concept of a complementary technology to an existing or accompanying RCD/RCBO. WWEST specialises in IT unearthed electrical solutions for problematic earthing environments and provides industry wide safety solutions to markets including mining, construction, marine, solar, generator and inverter, railways, vehicular application industries, domestic and many others.

Residual Voltage Technology can be easily applied to many other product applications where electrical safety is problematic due to the lack of an ‘earth-path’.

WWEST is changing work practices resulting in workers/individuals safety being significantly improved and the risk of electrical fire reduced.

WWEST offers an inhouse team of specialised electrical technicians who are expert in carrying out electrical safety reviews and installation work.

Consultancy

WWEST has a team of dedicated professionals who have extensive experience particularly in identifying problematic safety areas and implementing electrical safety solutions, which overcome electrical safety shortfalls on behalf of their clients.

Corporate

Mission Statement

  • To develop, market & licence to OEM’s our RVT-VMD electrical safety technology.
  • To provide electrical safety consulting services that provide the highest level of electrical safety & protection within consumer & commercial applications.
  • WWEST will support all our technology & products by ongoing  research & development and continuous evolution.

Business Philosophy

The safeguarding of family, friends and colleagues is essential to the fabric of all our lives. Knowing that electrical safety is at the highest level that it can be, is an absolute.

Why use an RVT and RCD?

RCD’s do not provide correct functionality in the following situations:

  • Loss of MEN earth bond (earthing system will not operate if corrosion or burning of main neutral has occurred)
  • Loss of earth stake connection (due to corrosion or lack of maintenance)
  • Loss of supply neutral
  • Earth fault conditions such as “Short circuit”
  • un-bonded Portable Generators
  • Power inverters including solar
  • UPS (uninterrupted power supply)
  • Caravans and RV

In all the above circumstances the RVT will detect the fault, and in combination with the RCD, will sense and isolate the fault condition. Thus preventing the possibility of personal injury.

RVT

Residual Voltage Technology (RVT )  provides enhanced electrical safety solutions in both ‘earthed and uniquely unearthed’ environments, significantly reducing the risk to personnel of experiencing an electric shock incident. Some of the outcomes of embracing the technology are:

  • A safer environment for all users, domestic to industrial,
  • Raises the bar in terms of workplace and personal safety,
  • Mitigates the electrical safety risk,
  • Dove-tails to the ALARP approach of reducing risk and ultimate aim of zero harm,
  • Demonstrate to your customers/ employees commitment to safety.

RVT-VMD

RVT-VMD  Technology, works in earthed or unearthed systems, by detecting a ‘voltage leakage‘ to the frame of the equipment being protected.

The RVT when coupled to an RCD or RCBO, provides enhanced electrical protection within all earthing systems and complements the RCD operation by providing protection within high impedance environments.

This ‘raises the bar on electrical safety’ and dove-tails very well with the ALARP (As low as reasonably practical) approach to risk management.

The RVT-VMD  overcomes the shortcomings of conventional safety devices such as RCD’s or RCBO’s, which will not provide electrical protection in certain conditions. Some of the  areas of concern include ‘unearthed’ or ‘bad’ earth scenarios and other situations such as caravans, generators and power inverters.
